Check out my 5 day live video series here
We made it to part 5 of my 5 part series! You can catch up on the other posts, starting with part 1 here.
Let's talk about investing in your business!
Remember this post, when I talked about how to actually start a business? I dove into all of the things you need to do to ensure you are compliant with the government and you have all of your ducks in a row? All of those things cost money - registering your business, opening a business bank account, etc. etc. etc.

Here are some first steps before investing if your business:
You want to make sure that you have proof of concept, before you invest a ton of money into your business. You want to make sure people are interested in what you have to offer.
The last thing you want to do is invest in a business, get a fancy website, logo, systems, subscriptions, etc. etc. etc. before validating your idea/service/product.
You can gain proof of concept through market research/conversations/validation calls
Once you have proof of concept and you are confident in your decision to move forward you want to be cautious with your investments.
I am a podcast junkie! I have listened to SO SO SO many podcasts where the hosts share their biggest “mistakes” in the early days of business (mistakes don’t exist - only learning opportunities) and what they would do if they were starting from scratch.
I have heard these “mistakes” several times . . .
Investing in a fancy website too soon, before having a clear business/brand message.
Investing in a logo only to decide to change the business name (or to have to change it due to finding out the name is copyrighted.)
Investing in systems and subscriptions they didn’t end up needing (in the beginning.)
What would they do if they had to start from scratch . . .
Invest in education and mentorship to skip a lot of the trial and error, floundering around and feeling entirely alone.
Instead of scouring the web for resources, trying to piecemeal a plan together, invest in amazing educators and mentors to help cut your learning curve in half and give you resources to help you grow your business.
If you aren’t at a place where you can afford education, there is SO much free content out there for you until you’re ready (like this 5 day training series.) Scour the web and find mentors you trust, and get your hands on all of their free content until you’re ready to dive into their courses.
TIP: I believe courses that teach true, pure business strategies are the best place to invest, because you pay once, and you have that information and content forever.
This is why I launched my Brand Your Business Course and my 1:1 Coaching Program.
So what do you get when you invest in me as your coach?
A no nonsense approach to business. I tell it like it is, because I know you need to hear it.
Access to the knowledge I have gained as a bookkeeper who has managed the financial side of multiple businesses.
The exact system and strategy I used to build my personal brand and create multiple streams of income in my own business.
All the social media tips you need to take the overwhelm out of creating content that is engaging and attracts ideal clients, consistently.
Your business has a story - it's my job to help you tell it through branding so you can stand out and attract dream clients!
Your personal brand is the foundation of your business.
Your brand is what will help you warm up your cold audience.
Your brand is what will set you apart in the crowded online space.
A strong personal brand will allow you to expand your business so you can have the security of multiple sources of income.
“A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself.” - Oprah

Remember:
You will see the impact of what you are doing right now in 3-6 months time
How are you spending your time?
Consuming content or creating content?
Binging Netflix or working through a digital course?
Complaining to your friends or collaborating with other entrepreneurs?
Keeping to yourself or being a thought leader sharing value?
Worrying about all the things outside of your control or working through what you CAN control?
We have no idea what is in store for us tomorrow, next week, next month or for the rest of this year - but we can create the outcome we want, right now.
